KING MURPHY'S GARDENS

It was always a topic of conversation, a dream of John’s, to have a large cut Flower Garden that people could come and walk, and perhaps take a stem or two with them. With the help of a few friends, and their heavy machinery skills we were able to cut back some overgrowth and cut in a garden. After a couple years of testing various flowers we’ve decided to focus our plantings on Zinnias, Celosia, Cosmos, Sunflowers, and if you’ve never smelled a Tuberose you are in for a treat. In addition to the large flower garden at the back of the property, there is a Peony Garden on either side of the driveway at the south entrance.

With its Rose Quartz, and Amethyst center, The Medicine Wheel Garden, is set up in the Four Directions and can be appreciated in the Native American, Peruvian and Celtic traditions. There are large raised gardens, where various herbs, plants and flowers are planted that correlate to each direction and its medicine. If you decide to take a journey around the Medicine Wheel you can take a few cuttings from the direction's box that resonates the most with you, and make your own medicine bundle. Keep it on your personal altar while you work through, or shed what doesn’t serve you, then burn in a full moon fire, send it down the creek, or bury it deep in the depths of Pachamama (Mother Earth). There is also a meditation available and it can be picked up at King Murphy's Stones at the front of the property before you journey.

Dennis’s passion project is the Chakra Trail. A special tree, or grouping of trees was chosen to represent each one of the Chakras. Choose between a guided meditation hike, or hike at your own leisure. It is about 45 minutes round trip, including a short stop at each Chakra, for a momentary intentional meditation. There is an Indigenous style Tipi located in Solar Plexus area of the trail, where you can stop for a break along the way. The Chakra Trail meditation is also available at the crystal shop.
